Sylvarin

The Concord Beneath the Moon

An elven alliance of living cities, moon pacts, and hidden paths. Sylvarin is not a single kingdom, but a covenant between ancient forests and the peoples who guard them.

Lethariel, the Walking City The Concord of Nine Boughs The First Moon Compact, date disputed

Chronicle of the Realm

01

The first elven houses ended the War of Falling Stars by binding their names to nine immortal trees.

02

Lethariel uprooted itself during the Cinder Plague and carried forty thousand refugees beyond the poisoned valleys.

03

The Hidden Path War was fought almost entirely through ambush, illusion, and the deliberate erasure of roads.

04

The Concord opened limited trade with Valedorn after the Silver Famine, beginning the current age of cautious cooperation.

Culture & Rule

Culture

Sylvarin society values memory, restraint, artistic mastery, and obligations extending across generations. Names may change after major life events, while promises made beneath moonlight carry legal and spiritual force.

Government

Each living city sends a Bough-Speaker to the Concord. Decisions affecting the whole forest require seven of nine votes and the assent of at least one recognized spirit sovereign.

Faith

Moon pacts, ancestor groves, and the living divinities of river and root

War & Wealth

Military

Pathfinders, moonblade circles, ward-singers, beast companions, and mobile tree-fortresses. Sylvarin avoids open-field battles unless the land itself has been prepared as a weapon.

Economy

Medicinal herbs, enchanted wood, silk, fine bows, moon-silver, rare seeds, memory crystals, and guided passage through otherwise impassable woodland routes.

Geography

Ancient forests cover rolling hills, luminous wetlands, and hidden valleys. Roads shift with the seasons, and unauthorized travelers may walk for days only to return to where they began.

Major Settlements

Lethariel — living capital that migrates with the seasons

Moonmere — city of silver bridges and diplomatic courts

Thornwatch — martial settlement guarding the southern paths
